Plymouth Devon PL6 8DH
4th Sunday of every month
Coffee/tea from10:30 am
The meeting starts at 11am
The Deep South BDDG meeting is part of a fellowship of medical and dental professionals who meet regularly to help each other stay clean and sober. Our primary purpose is to carry the message of recovery to the still-suffering doctor or dentist.
Our experience is that identification with other recovering doctors and dentists is an extremely powerful tool in aiding recovery.
Many of us maintain long-term abstinence with the help of these meetings and are able to continue with professional employment.
BDDG meetings are an adjunct to and not a substitute for regular 12 Step Fellowship meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
We welcome any doctor or dentist who feels they may have a problem with drugs, alcohol or any other addictive behaviour.
We are fully self-supporting through our own contributions. We are not affiliated with any other organisation, and are under no surveillance at any time.
This is a safe place to share, and all those present respect the principle of anonymity.
Approach the hospital from Morlaix Road. Turn RIGHT down the hill, going around the hospital, past the bicycle parking. The Postgraduate centre has a car park barrier in front. Press the buzzer and say you are here for the Doctors meeting. You do not have to give your name or car registration. You will be given a token in the meeting for exit.
